Celebrate the launch of our new non-GMO Sharp Cheddar
What better way to celebrate a new cheese than to launch on National Cheese Day!
Available from Sunday 4th June 2017 our new non-GMO Sharp Cheddar tastes as delicious as the original and is still made at Maryland Farm in Somerset. Retaining its tangy rounded bite, and always aged for over twelve months to give that smooth creamy texture, the only difference is it contains no genetically modified ingredients.
Developed to meet the increasing demand for non-GMO cheese especially here in the US, we will be showcasing our new Sharp at International Dairy-Deli-Bakery Association Seminar & Expo (IDDBA), hosted in Anaheim, California, 4th – 6th June.
Our Accredited Status
Westminster Sharp has been fully accredited as non-GMO by NSF International, the international food certification organization, under the rigorous testing regime and consensus-based standards of the ‘Non-GMO Project’. The certification covers a comprehensive range of checks including ensuring that the cheeses are made with milk from dairy herds not fed with feed containing GMO and that the rennet used in the cheese making process is also verified as non-GMO.
A cheese for all seasons, our non-GMO Sharp Cheddar is a great all-rounder. So, whether you fancy celebrating National Cheese Day with a traditional Mac & Cheese, or a delicious all-American apple pie, complete with Cheddar cheese crust, check out our recipe section for some inspiration.
Initially available from Shaw’s, Safeway, Albertsons, and Earthfare; we’re delighted with this new Westminster Cheddar, and think you will be too.
